What does it mean if my device is initializing?

After connecting to your Wi-Fi network, the device will be initializing while it establishes a baseline sensor reading and downloads the latest software updates from our servers. This process can take a few hours. The device will not send any alerts during this phase. Contact our support team if a device is initializing for more than 24 hours.
